Hi.
Just in case you managed to open my mail and violate my privacy further, I thought I’d let you know that I have given the unique apple ID of my iPod Touch and its serial number to (with Jxxxxx and Mxxxxx’s assistance): the local BA cops and US Customs (so taking my iPod back to the States would be a pretty dumb idea - we have given the names of the three most likely suspects).
We’re pretty sure we know who took it, as everyone who stayed at the party and did not leave very obviously/suddenly was able to offer information that helped us narrow down what time it was taken, and who the thief probably is/was.
Re: Jxxxxx and Mxxxxx, btw - they were the kind people who took you into their home and hosted your party, who also operate a sideline business hosting international visitors. By stealing my iPod, you have damaged their business reputation, personal trust in strangers, and their trust in your own team-mate, Mxxxxx, who vouched for all of you who visited as an extension of her.
Also, with the aid of a couple of tracking services online and a few of my web savvy friends, I should be able to locate you within the next 48 hours, which means you are a phone call away from being busted. This isn’t a threat, I am simply stating the facts. iPods and iPhones are really easy to track.
I would suggest you return my iPod to Jxxxx and Mxxxx’s address (anonymously if you must) ASAP and I will say no more about it. I don’t wish to cause them any more grief, and I can overlook your actions as simply immature and ill-conceived.
As it stands now, you stand a high likelihood of being caught, and I am not sure the consequences of that would be particularly great. If you wish to call me to apologise for stealing my iPod, my number in Buenos Aires is +54 xxxxxxxx.
